Help. I'm marked for death by the Legion

Post » Wed Jul 13, 2011 12:03 am

True. I just want to avoid changing the difficulty when it was my poor decision that got me in this predicament. Now the fun part is finding a way out of it.

Like i said go to the damn tops and talk to Benny.

I can't believe anyone is having trouble with the legion. Most of my experience in fighting them results in them running away and cowering behind something with their hands over their head. I almost feel bad as I imagine that most of them are crying for their mothers before I decorate the desert with their brains. Hell, I remember one time I called in Ranger support and just watched as this ranger chick slaughtered an entire encampment of Legionaries. (The one with the 2 powder ganger prisoners.)

But it sounds like you're having an equipment problem OP, focus on getting better high damage weapons, armor piercing ammo and some better gear. You can also pump chems if you're ambushed again and having trouble. It might just give you the edge. And Doc Mitchel can cure your addictions if you develop any.

My experience with the NCR is killing them in one hit, and clearing out their patrols without losing a quarter of my health, while I am in Legion Veteran Armor (13 DT).

Once I saw a veteran legionary kill a ranger in single combat. The guys at the camp must have been recruits. And someone reported a Legion explorer killing four NCR troopers at once

The Legionary assassins are actually fairly beefy equivalent to NCR patrol rangers.

I've seen Legionaries take out NCR Troopers occasionally, but that may be because I buffed the Legion, because Obsidian was... well... stupid, seriously, how to NCR Troopers have higher bravery than Legionaries? Seriously, i dont get what was in the head of the Obsidian devs, making Legionaries have low health, low level, and run away, when lore that they wrote says that they are tough, experienced, and crazy dedicated.

Recruit legionaries have more health and better stats than the profligate troops. The only reason why the profligates sometimes win is because of their long-range weapons, so they can lower the legionaries health before they can get close enough to use their machetes or close-range guns.

Wish I had it that easy. Lately I'm the one cowering because I can't get a shot off after he announces, "You have been marked for death... Prepare to fight". I try V.A.T.S, chems etc. I even laid down C4 and blasted the dude 50 feet in the air, and he still kept coming. Plus I'm low on ammo. I'll just have to get to the Tops.

You know that Prime Legionaries have 10 base health? Vets as well? Centurions are level 12-16. You know how statistically low all the supposedly highly experienced battle hardened Legionaries are? It's pathetic, and I aim to fix that.

i like killing the legion assassin parties but it does get annoying when they run at low health. another point why give them c4 if they wont use it? i mean when i first saw it in their inventory after the patch i was half expecting them to suicide bomb at low health

and to the op try wearing legion gear out in the wastes, away from the ncr not sure if it will help though. atleast until you get to benny

What do you mean 10? Are you talking about hit points? Because recruits have 95, as compared to the troopers' 50. But the centurions are way underpowered, especially the wasteland ones. 130 health? that is absurd.

I'm talking about the base health, for the Prime and Vet, recruits have a higher base health because they are low level, so they don't get much of any END level multiplier, so their health usually is around 90, this is the same for the "higher level" enemies, because of low base health.

10 health? Are you joking? You must be yoking.

Not joking, what you are feeling, is how i was feeling when i saw that, 10 base health, my guess is that they though the END level multiplier would hide this from the player, but they are so low level that it doesn't help at all, like 80-90 health.

The wiki says that the Vets have way more health than ten. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Veteran_Ranger

So that makes it okay?

The ones that Chief Hanlon says are more than a match for a Ranger, having survived a decade in Caesars army.
