Hello,

I started a new character based off of Talsgar the Wanderer, because everytime I see him he is kicking butt and taking names. So That means I am focusing on not wearing any armor and doing alot of Melee combat, 1h. I am also using illusion spells, what bard would be worth his weight if he couldn't inspire people! My off skill is sneak, but I hardly use it.

Illusion is pretty straight forward and I get that, but alteration spells don't last nearly long enough. Also I am getting beat down by everything! Does alteration ever give you enough armor where I can stand toe to toe with a warrior and not fold over like a wet piece of paper?

Also, any general advise on when to cast, engagement tactics, or if another skill is useful please share.
