I downloaded Hearthfire tonight for the first time for something to do and I'd like to build my home in Falkreath. I'm working to become Thane and have brought Siddgeir his Black Briar Mead. However, he will not give me the "Kill the Bandit Leader" quest. It simply does not appear as a conversation option.

A few other points:

I've tried waiting and doing other quests for the people of Falkreath to pass time hoping it would eventually become a topic. At least a few in-game days have passed and it still doesn't appear.

I don't have any other "Kill the Bandit Leader" radiant quests active.

I've tried using the console command "setstage Favor154 10" to activate it, as seen here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Kill_the_Bandit_Leader_%28Jarl%29. That still doesn't work.

Anyone have any ideas?
