Major spoilers here, so don't read any further if you haven't yet come to this part.




I was finally instructed to go and get the Totem from Castle Daggerfall. Well, after a long time searching, I found the vault, and I manage to open it...only to find the cage void of the totem. I've done all the quests needed to get to this part too (I've found the letter, Lysandus has gotten his revenge and I've trapped that soul for the Underking). I did a search and apparently I needed to be level 14 to begin this quest...but I was asked to go and get the totem at level 10. So for a quick remedy, I used a hack program and leveled myself to level 15, got into the castle and did it again, this time knowing where I need to go. Well, the vault was still empty again this time. There is no totem on that pedestal.

Help?

By "instructed" do you mean (1) you have simply learned that the Totem in in Castle Daggerfall and decided to go get it, or that (2) you have received the letter from Lady Brisienna and met her in the tavern, and she told you that now is the time go snag the thing? if it's not #2 then the quest hasn't started yet and you'll have to wait for Lady B to contact you.

Ah, I think it's only (1). I'll check.

EDIT: Oh darn, I had went to meet with her and saved my game, and when I reloaded the next day I forgot to speak to her (I had spoken to her before though but I didn't save).
