Hi All
This is not the generic "I'm levelling too fast" problem where you use uncapper or CK to fix the problem. This is something that has started happening on my latest play through on a new game after installing about 10 new mods. I've been playing since release and never come across this before and frankly, am stumped.

The Problem
Whenever I start a new game, every time I increase a skill in Helgen Keep, my progression to the next level doesn't go up by by 10%, but by 20-30%. Thinking this was a problem with one of the new mods I had installed, I un-installed them all, started a new game, and expected the problem to have disappeared. It didn't. I tried several things to resolve the problem...


How I have tried to fix this

• Uninstalled ALL mods except official DLC and updates
  
• Deleted my updated .ini and pref files and let Skyrim create new defaults
  
• Deleted an old Sky Proc Patchers folder in Data files
  
• Started 5 new games
  
• Launched via Sky launcher and not SKSE

I am still getting the same problem now on vanilla and am stumped. I'd rather not un-install and go through the lengthy update process, but will if no one has a solution which works.

Any words of wisdom or help you can offer will be very much appreciated!

It might be a buggy script. You could make a backup of the Skrim\data\scripts folder then delete all the .pex files in the folder.

Verify the cache through Steam and let it replace any files. Then start a new game.
