Arghhh. my mom was like "I dont believe you." She just got home. I Showed her the recipt and shes all like theres no way thats really how much its worth.

I have an idea, I think if she sees how Im not alone on this, she will feel better. Can you guys tell her its okay? Ill tell her to read this thread.

What!? Don't let her read this thread, then she'll get even more suspicious! If she doesn't believe you after seeing the receipt, then you can't do anything else to convince her short of dragging her to the store and showing her the security camera footage showing you buying it.

Show them the receit. If they don't belive you, show them the prices of the same monitor on various online stores.

Fine, Mrs Greenhouse, Its perfectly normal to buy 24 inch TVs for that much now. My own cost me only slightly more than that three years ago.

If she really wants to find out tell her to check all of the local electronics stores for recent break-ins where they stole a monitor matching that exact description.

The only reasonable thing to do at this point is to return it, get your money back and use it all to buy your Mom a nice Mother's Day gift with the money.
