Help me Please. Vendors Everywhere

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2016 10:18 pm

:gun: So lets just say I accidentally killed the vendors in Diamond City and Goodneighbor. I cannot get any of them to spawn back! I am so frustrated by this I want to explode! I've tried leaving the area, waiting 48 hours, nothing! Nothing works! You should not be able to kill vendors! Just make the vendors invincible like the Ghoul lady in Goodneighbor! If you have a solution please tell me, if not well then I'm screwed :/. And it would be nice if you answered answers that could help me. Not just by answering it with a question. I did what I did. I may not know why but you know...

Why in the hell would you KILL the vendors and then actually save the game afterward?

There are other vendors that the factions have available at their bases.

There are vendors spread around the map at other locations too.

You can build your own shops when you get the right perks.

Y'know, that's the strangest thing. I've always had trouble doing business with people after killing them... :)

Really...I think you kind of brought this problem upon yourself. Go on an occasional murderous rampage if you want, but don't save the freakin game afterward lol

make friends with the factions, they have vendors.

You also have the Bunker hill merchants.

Also I have never bought either of those items from those vendors and got through the game okay.

I only bartered hard to get ammo from them before i had my own level 3 vendors.

I was too stingy to pay for what i could get for free by being a junk collector.

Reminds me of doing that in Ultima 7 Serpent aisle lol. I would go on a rampage and leave bodies eveywhere!

Forget that you made a save after you went on a rampage, killing named Vendor NPCs, why do you not have a save to somewhere in the ball park of just before?

If you can't find vendors and don't have old saves to go back to (or that you don't want to, for whatever reason) oil and copper are easy enough to find in the wastes. It's not as fast as buying, but I've done pretty well and have never bought oil, and only bought one shipment of copper in my playthrough.

go fight real enemies, killing the vendors is a chump move, i hate watching people on youtube killing everyone in a town or settlement, its dumb to do, aren't there enough real enemies to fight?, go the fight the gunners at the quincy ruins or the forged, they'll put up a real fight.

This made me laugh and cry at the same time because it's true. Bethesda is clearly moving in that direction.

This. There is no reason to kill peacefull settlers. At least you got a bit punished by losing the vendors.

Then you are now reaping the consequences of your own actions. You're out of luck unless you have another save prior to this.

'Accidentally'

Are you serious? In that huge city where the vendors are separated unless you purposely make trouble?

That's a hell of an accident lol

Hopefully you didn't kill the vendors in Bunker HIll, because that's the only gathering of vendors you've got left now.

OP is either trolling or completely screwed by his own hand.

If it's the latter, that is freaking hilarious. Reap that whirlwind, son - hope you already bought the Big Boy... XD

It's easy to do.

You only have to get caught lockpicking and the whole town turns against you.

I got caught trespassing by a shop owner in Diamond City even though I had obtained her key and the whole town turned against me.

I had a choice, run away or kill them all.

What happend to being put in prison? Or did they simplify that as well? It is not like there aren't some holding cells in DC.

If you are on PC, you could try and use the console. Look up the commands for Fallout 4 and then you have to find each vendors console ID, then resurrect them.

In one of the loading screens it mentions that Wasteland justice, law enforcement, and crime usually ends when either the victim or the perpetrator are dead. While places have guards, I've never encountered a working police officer or judge. If I encountered a lawyer, I'd probably shoot him...
