So I have only ever played fallout 3 out of all the fallout games but am massively drawn in to the whole fallout universe with its rich backstorys and compelling gameplay. Now enough of me gushing. I really want to be able to play fallout 1 on my MacBook Pro but have no idea about how to do this. Bearing in mind i have little to no knowledge about how to do anything technical on my laptop could someone please explain to me the steps i would need to take in order to play this highly rated game on it. Thanks in advance.
Here is my laptop details:
Mac OS X Version 10.5.8
Processor: 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo
Memory: 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
The Native Mac version is unfortunately for classic mac only... Basically you have two choices, you can either boot camp windows (which is probably the best idea long term to do any level of gaming), or you can get it to run in a Mac WINE program, such as DarWine, which may not be perfect and may not run all windows games as perfectly as you'd like, but it doesnt involve buying a copy of windows.
There is a third option as well, and that is to run windows in something like Parelells on your Mac, but your milage may vary as that combines the worst of both worlds - Imperfect support and buying windows and Parelells, however it does mean you dont have to reboot to switch between OSX and Windows.
You can find more information on DarWine here:

More information on BootCamp Here:

Paralells is here:

I'd also recommending purchasing some more RAM for your machine... Apple Ram is overpriced, but suppliers like Cruicial should be able to take you up to 2Gb at not too much cost... Not particularly to play Fallout (You should be OK without it) but it will improve performance in both fallout, and any other games you want to try.
