I was at about level 11 and had just found some dog armor and a skull bandana all in the same vicinity. Equipped them to my dog then sent him to red rocket. When I get back he's nowhere to be found. I've searched sanctuary around all the areas I can build and red rocket and nothing. I had already scrapped the dog houses in sanctuary at level 6 and built one on main building. I stored it and placed it again and still nothing. Now I'm questioning where I had him last and maybe I didn't heal him somewhere, I don't know. A couple things I did notice is around the time I noticed he was missing at red rocket, a brahim made it into my fenced in base, so I built an eating tub as I'd expect everyone else to do. I don't know of that had anything to do with it. I also at the time had.scrapped my dog house at sanctuary as red.rocket is my main base. I tried rebuilding it and placing it in the same place and have frequently checked it and still nothing. Does anyone have any me info other than what is currently out there on missing dogmeat? I will not sleep until I find him. Help please

Also on a quick side note, I'm new to fallout series and just came across the vault tech rep from the beginning of the game who sold me the vault placement. How and the hell has he been able to survive for 200+ years? He was frozen, shouldn't he be dead?

How many days did you wait for Dogmeat to arrive? I remember sending Codsworth back to Red Rocket from somewhere else once and he wasn't there when I got back, but I just waited and hung around for a couple more in-game days and he did finally appear.

Have you checked in the dog houses? Sometimes you can barely see him in there.

When I first returned, literally 5 minutes real time he wasn't there so I went back out exploring for a good couple hours. Before I went to bed I couldn't find him and spent another couple hours trying to find him. I should've reloaded a previous save but I didn't think about that until I had played for a couple days and found a bunch of items I didn't want to lose. Ty for the response though! I'll keep trying and will keep the post updated.

Thanks Summer, I did go back and check both dog houses. One at Sanctuary and Red Rocket and nothing. I hope that the armor or something I did, didn't permanently glitch my dog. He should be alright with his armor, I just want him home already.

He wasn't allowed in the Vault. When you get there, you can see that he's denied entry to the Vault and he says "I am Vault-Tec!", then he runs off. He's still alive because the radiation Ghoulified him, and Ghouls have a very long lifespan, he's what people call a "Pre-War Ghoul."
