I'm on the quest for the staff and I'm concerned as to whether the summoned Dremora is levelled to the player or not. Also does it get changed into higher level Dremora as your char level increase. I'm currently level,20 . I expect to be about 22 or 23 by the time I meet with Sanguine to claim the staff. If it doesn't level up with you then I would be best waiting until I'm more like level 40 before completing the quest. If it does level up and give stronger Dremora, then It s not important what level I'm at when I obtain it.

Pretty sure the level of the summon is based on character level when you use the staff, not when you acquire it.

I've used the staff myself, and the Dremora it summons levels up with your character. Skyrim's not Oblivion, where your character level at the time you acquired the staff determines its maximum power.

Actually, the sanguine rose staff is unleveled in Oblivion.

Skyrim has levelled items. But according to the UESP, sanguine rose is not one of them. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Leveled_Items

I didn't know that about Oblivion's Sanguine Rose - I got the staff once but never really used it much. I assumed it was leveled just like almost everything else in the game.

Yeah, most stuff in Oblivion is levelled, but the Daedric quest rewards are unleveled.
