Help Request (uninstalling Mao)

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 6:46 am

Morning everyone,

I've been using MAO for a while but the way it eliminates any spell/effect that animates a npc has finally convinced me to get rid of it.
Now what I'm wondering is if anyone has any advice on uninstalling in such a way that my game remains stable. I've tried normally and found I can load in a solo cell (The start of new beginnings say) just fine but any "live cell" shall we say (wilderness, towns etc) will CTD before it fully loads in.
So I'm poking at the fountain of knowledge (thats you lot) before I try anything else.

Thankies

Use the "COC Testinghall" command. Save there. Then uninstall the mod. Relaunch the game. Use "COC Weye" to get back to Tamriel. Keep going...

Yup, that is a good trick to keep around whenever you need to do a clean save.

Running Oblivion - http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/runoblivion <-- There is a slightly more detailed explanation here. Really, it only tells you how to get back to Tamriel without necessarily going to Weye (the dude's house, haha.)

Edit: I gave you the wrong page.
