Help in Saarthal : V

I just entered the College of Winterhold and am a Level 3 Breton Battlemage. All the magic I know are those that were taught to me, fire bolt, minor ward , plus the blessing from the Lovers Stone. I have not developed my archery skills in favor of one handed sword of which I am level 21. I have looted some weapons from the minor Nord ghouls in the excavation. But now I am trapped in the Saarthal tomb. I have no follower, I left behind my archer elf in town. I am low in potions. Is there any hope for a Level 3 Battlemage to defeat the Deathlord of Saarthal or am I trapped here forever? Pls help!

I can help:

The Deathlord is sitting in front of a table. Look for a staff there and grab it. Use it on the Deathlord, only after Tolfdir tells you to attack it. During the battle, the Deathlord will be cycling between being immune to fire, frost & shock, but with the staff and a little luck, you should be able to kill him, before he goes shock immune.

I guess if all else fails and you're getting frustrated with being unable to complete it: I'd suggest probably lowering the game difficulty for that battle, hopefully that will help you.

Flame, run away.... repeat until that Draugr is truly dead. If the Draugr does not have a Bow and Arrows, it is possible to jump from the tomb to the ledges and cook it from safety.

If Tolfdir has not caught up to You the Draugr You are facing is just difficult at a lower level.

Thanks Atkara, I will get that staff and see what happens. I'm determined to be a great Battlemage!
