So I'm doing a project for art, at school, and the topic I choice was 'fantasy', based around Skyrim's Role-Playing Action sort of genre. The problem with this is, I don't know what genre Skyrim's sense of fantasy would fall under when it's taken out of game format. If I create Fantasy-themed things for my art project, I need a specific genre of fantasy, and I don't know what the word is for it. Any help is apprechiated. Thanks

What are your options? "Fantasy" seems to pretty sufficiently cover it as a setting genre. It isn't historical fantasy, since it's set in an entirely different world. What else could it be?

Medieval fantasy probably, because of the magic, dragons, mead, inns, bards, guilds, swords, shields, bows, thieves and wooden houses with hay roofs.

I'm guessing your teacher has some genres in mind... what are the options?

High fantasy

Predominantly high fantasy with well-hidden magitech and a sprinkle of steampunk.

My art teacher offered no options, I was just simply asked to research what topic of fantasy my project would fall under. I thought Fantasy would be clear enough, but I guess Fantasy is essentially just a fictional reality.
