HELP ! : Fallout: New Vegas

I need to talk to cesear in his fort but everytime i get close to his tent all the guards start shooting me and when i get in his tent he even kills me
ive got a legion armour on which means i am neutral and some guy has told me that the legion forgives me for everything i have done in the past so there is no reason for them to try kill me ??

what should i do ??

Its the mission where i need to get the platinum chip off him

Could it be a trap setup for you, maybe they wanted to lure you there so they could kill you. Did you really think Cesear's Legion would forgive you. Maybe someone paid them to off you. Just guessing here, But there other reason why they'd want you dead then a glich in the game.

kill him i suppose. i didnt finish that mission

i tried that mission wiht ED-E and Boone. I didnt get anywhere near caesar.

I haven't gotten that far but isn't it the same as other guard uniforms ? If you wear them you fool the general population but not guards and special characters. That was the case for me at least with that gang in the beginning of the game.

cheers il try and kill but theres like 20 guards around him so i dont really stand a chance

I will drop one hint I can think of and that's if you have Boone as a companion...... don't take him. Think about it. You're taking an NCR SOLDIER to the camp of his SWORN ENEMY There's going to be trouble.

yeah i sent him away before i went in, and for some reason i can make it all the way to the tent without any guards shooting me but the guards infront of the tent shoot me ??

I have the same problem... I'm trying to talk to him b/c he requested my presence and they gave me the mark or w/e. But as soon as I get to the tent door.... I get attacked, even if I'm wearing legion armor, have neutral status with them, and told all my companions to leave. Lame... I wanted to join them!

I got that from Benny. (the dude who shot you in the head at the beginning of the game)

what's the name of the quest you're doing?

To get the platinum chip... that requires going to the tops casino and killing benny to get the chip. Why in the world are you going to Caesar's Legion to get the platinum chip? lol

I'm going there for the quest, "Render unto Caesar" (nevertheless, still.... same problem as you, I can't talk to Caesar.... so any help with this would be appreciated)

wow, that svcks dude.... benny just stood in the hallway like a [censored] on the 13th floor of the tops casino in my game. I killed him in one shot to the head with a sneak attack critical. lol

still... come on guys... no one else has encountered a problem like this where you can't do a quest b/c people relevant to that quest attack you even though your standing with them is "neutral"?!
