Help, Time Wound Glitched.

Post » Sat Feb 08, 2014 11:11 am

When I activate the Elder scroll at the Time Wound, I go back in time, but the Nord just walks past me. I hear fighting, but no dialogue. Due to this I have not killed Alduin, learned Dragonrend, or gotten the last Dragon Priest Mask. I have 7 of 8 and NEED the last one. Loading a last save isn't an option, because I have 160+ hours of gameplay. Need help quickly.

Are you running any mods?

It is always good to make a separate save occasionally for situations like this, especially before anything major.

Their maybe a fix on pc to console command, but on ps3 or 360 all you can do is go back to a previous save. Had the same thing happen, Never did get far enough back on my saves to not get the glitch... and I went all the way back to the save I had at the Embassy.

Some mentioned going to a save and then fast traveling somewhere and then fast traveling back, but others mentioned it didn't work for them...so, I guess you can try that.

Or if your on pc let others know, their could be something different for them.

Yeah, I forgot to say i play it on Xbox 360 and PC ,and I have not had the problem on PC.The problem is on Xbox 360, so I can't really change anything within. I need a fix urgently, because I am running out of quests to do.

When your sent back in time to view the event. Dont move the joystick to look around. Don't press anything. Put the controller down and wait for the entire thing to be over.

Fast travel to Winterhold, read the scroll, and then wait 24 hours, and then go back to the top of the mountain and try the Time Wound again also being naked with no armor or weapons or any type of jewelry. Once you are in the vision, don't move or look around. Just wait around and see if he comes

If the above doesn't work, then you may end up needing to take a series of steps. Try taking your Xbox save and putting it on a USB flash drive, covert it over to PC save with the help of a nice tool http://null-byte.wonderhowto.com/how-to/copy-convert-your-skyrim-game-save-from-xbox-360-your-pc-0132217/
Follow the directions accordingly on the page. It has instructions for converting to PC and Xbox.

Once you've done that, test it and see if the same problem persists over on the PC version too.

Still happening even on the PC?

Type "setstage mq206 70" and you will learn dragonrend.

Then type "setstage mq206 100" to disable the Time Wound vision and you should be sent back to your time soon

I hope this helps. Just keep trying things you will get it fixed eventually

If you ever get it fixed on PC, you can then convert it back to Xbox and things will be as if they were meant to be once again. Odd how this happened on Xbox and not PC.
