Help! Unable to sleep or wait

Post » Sun Apr 18, 2010 1:57 pm

I have run into a problem. My intelligence and willpower are damaged and it seems my character is also very paranoid. No matter where I go or what bed I try, in any city, I am unable to sleep. I always get a message stating that: "enemies are nearby". Same thing happens when I try to "wait". Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

I once had the problem. After completing the Ultimate Heist, the game kept telling me enemies where near to me. I think that if you complete the quest but are spotted by guards, you get this message.

I am afraid the only thing to do is to reload a save or to live with the problem.

I had a guard chasing me once and I just waited at some location (not using the Wait button) until he caught up with me.

You can also try punching a guard or stealing some worthless item and get caught, and pay your fine; whatever is chasing you will show up at the castle.

Yeah, they infest all Cyrodiil, and Morrowind.

My guess is that it was the King of Miscarcand and his faithful and quite decrepit lackeys.

In my case, it turned out to be the King of Miscarcand - I had managed to escape from Miscarcand with the Welkynd stone from the main quest by sneaking and using Chamaeleon, without confronting him, and I was similarly puzzled by the 'nearby enemies'. Weeks of game time later I came out of jail and was surprised to be met by the ghost on the castle causeway. But by then he was all alone , so he didn't last long.....
