Help with Ambiance

Post » Sun Oct 03, 2010 12:32 am

Alright guys, I have several questions regarding the ambiance of my game I'd like some insight on:

1. I recently started using Vurt's ini settings included with his sky textures, and now my nights are so freaking dark I keep tripping into the Odai River when I miss the bridge. Can somebody tell me what numbers I need to change to fix this?

2. I use Illuminated Windows, and I love it, but I like the way Imperial windows look from Windows Glow, how would I go about changing it?

3. My rain seems very quiet, would this be a mod problem or not?

4. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm34/ChaoticEnforcer/MGEScreenshot4.jpg seems odd to me, it's a thunderstorm happening around sunset, and it seems odd that its not dark like a thunderstorm just because it's sunset.

5. Is there any way to reduce http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm34/ChaoticEnforcer/MGEScreenshot5.jpg odd lighting effect?

I'm gonna have more questions as they pop up but this is it for now.

Thanks :)

You can play windows glow with illuminated windows no problem. Windows glow is mostly based on a mesh and texture replacer that glow maps the windows and thereby decreases the fps hit for people that can't use scripted lighting functions because of the fps hit on their systems.

As for 5, are you running MCP? There's a function in it supposed to greatly decrease those kinds of lighting errors.

Hmm, ok, but will I still be able to see the effect of Illuminated Windows?

Yeah I'm running it, maybe I'll have to take another look to make sure that fix is checked. :)
