Help with a bug : Fallout: New Vegas

Hi im new by the way...

okay so in the quest "There Stands The Grass" in the part where you'r suposed to ignite the gas I simply cant
no matter what i try i used frag laser plasma guns dynamite flamer (with tgm) and nothing seems to work could it be a bug
please help

Are you right down by the two vents? And getting the wavy "gas" effect in the air?

yep. the pip-boy says to find a way to ignite the gas and to returen to the Dr. at McCarran

Did you try putting a block of C4 in the middle of the gas area and detonating it?

The c4 isn't working damn it maybe i should reset the quest? or set it to a different stage?

You may have to, if C4 doesn't work, nothing will.

So to simply put it i need to get out of vault 22 and type in the Console reset quest [quest ID] ?

crap.....iv just reset the quest and its still isnt woking what should i do anyone
