Help with a build utilizing conjuration!

Post » Mon Sep 12, 2011 12:47 pm

So I really just want to play the game and summon things throughout the game in order to assist me in battle, I really love this feature in oblivion and it is my favorite thing in the game and i've just started playing it......

So i need a conjuration build, one that will make the game fun. I don't have to totaly dominate everything and it be easy, but enough to where its a challenge btu its not absolutely tough..

Breton, dunmer? I kind of like breton, not much magical weakness... And I'm not doing atronach

should I select the Witch hunter option?

What do you guys think is a good Idea for a build with conjuration. Thanks for any help!

I would suggest a Custom Class similar to the Witchhunter, but with Mysticism (and possibly Alchemy) removed to minor skill, and replaced with Illusion. Illusion is a fantastic companion skill to Conjuration; as you become more adept, and create your own spells, you can use a combination of Invisibility and a summon. You can also use Illusion's Command and Frenzy effects to get enemies to fight each other.

The Breton is a safe choice.

The reason you don't want all of Conjuration, Mysticism, and Alchemy as majors is that your character will need to build Intelligence, and having all three of those as majors will hamper that development. If you make Alchemy a minor (for instance) and then train it up by making potions, you can boost Intelligence higher without forcing your character to level up too fast.

What about weapons? Is it a bad idea to try and be a fighter who uses blades or blunts as a conjurer? or should i stick to magic and marksman? since i'm a breton.

Like instead of having the two main skills be Intelligence and agility... and the majors marksman and security...

What if i had it as intelligence and strength and the majors to replace those as maybe blunt(or sword) and heavy armor? or some kind of armor... Does that sound silly? Is that like a battle mage, or would that build not work... I am torn between using a bow and destruction magic with conjuration and standing back, or being able to use a sword and some level of armor while being able to cast some magic and sling metal around along side with whatever i conjure.

Opinions on best way to handle this? And then i'm getting started
