Help with a few issues about skyrim for pc.

Post » Thu Sep 05, 2013 10:10 am

Hey all, i asked here, and took your suggestion, and upgraded from Skyrim Ps3, to Pc legendary edition, and i love it... I grabbed the high res free dlc from steam, the creation kit, and 4 mods "Forbidden Magick 1,2,3, & 4...

1. I was wondering which unofficial patches i should get

2. what mods (if any) i should get.. (i like the inventory one i see one everyones youtube vids, but idk its name)

3. Is more an issue im having with some unintended vissual im seeing around my hands in 1st person view, when i have magic in hands, and also when in 3rd person seems to be around the entire player character..It looks like an egg shapped, pencil thin, black outline of the spell effect in each hand.. Same thing surrounding the player when in 3rd person.. Its extremely distracting, and very astheticaly displeasing..Anyone knowing of this glitch, or bug oplz help me with this one.. Its driving me nuts..

Im also pretty pc/software declined, so assume i know nothing of any hotfix you may suggest.. If you have a suggestion, like sconsole command or something, just plz be detailed, and specific

Ty guys so much in advance..

1- You should get all the unofficial patches. That right there is a console players wet dream.

2- The UI is called "SkyUI" I believe.

Yes, it's SkyUI: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3863/? Over 2 million unique downloads, so pretty much every PC player is indeed using it :lmao:

And yes, get all unofficial patches. They're quality work.

Never heard of or seen that magic glitch though.

You greatly underestimate the number of Skyrim PC players.

Yes, i'd imagine that 2.2 million is 3/4 of all PC players, at most. Probably less.

You aren't going to download anything to harm your PC by using the Nexus. You are downloading from that Workshop, anyway. You need to start with a good foundation and understanding of mods to become a responsible user.

This is a good place to start. Gopher has a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxQ1JN_X-_Y&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLE7DlYarj-DdhDG41roBVJfNCqvO5MmKP devoted to new mod users.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=8122 But keep in mind that things you download from Nexus are very unlikely to ruin your PC.
You can get the unofficial patches from the Workshop too. There's 5 in total: for Skyrim, three DLC and the hi-res texture pack.

If you're going to dabble into modding, I suggest you use http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6/?. Load order is important.

edit: Yeah, or just listen to Gopher. Good way to start.

Wait, people actually use Workshop search feature? It's so terrible. I always just google mod name + workshop.

I'll just go ahead and drop a few links here that will work well with SkyUI.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35154/? (this goes a long way in getting rid some of the consolized UI elements.) You can move them around and resize themn, although it takes a bit of getting used to how to move them around and resize them, but not too much.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18466/?tab=1&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D18466%26preview%3D&pUp=1. I never realized just how useful this is until I downloaded it. Now I won't ever let it leave my load order.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2596/?. This is my personal favorite, but there are other fonts out there to use as well, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/searchresults/?src_order=3&src_sort=0&src_view=2&src_tab=1&src_name=font&src_showadvlt=1&ignoreCF=0&page=1&pUp=1
