Help with FWE and these mods!

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:10 am

Hey...

I am really wanting to try a new fallout 3 game and set it up this weekend, using the following mods:

The big ones = MMM, WMK, EVE, Project Beauty
Others = NMCs Texture pack, Fellout, Dynamic Weather, Enhanced Weather - Rain + Snow, Realistic Interior Lighting.

I am wondering whether all the extra 'other' mods will play nice together with each other and with the big ones and with FWE. Where do i load the Fellout/weather type mods in the below load order (scroll down for load order)? I do NOT want alot of game ending bugs due to mods being loaded!

Also, how do i make sure that the latest FWE works with the latest of each of the other mods? For example, you have to use EVE .096 as i recall, any other things like that to be making sure of. Dont want to get 1/3 thru the game and then realize that i have versions of the mods loaded that don't play together...

Thanks!
Randy

All the mods you mentioned should work fine together as long as you use FOIP.

The best thing for the load order is BOSS

It will automatically sort everything for you.

And of course use FO3edit to create a merged patch, and it is recommended by many to also use the masterupdate feature of fo3edit.I believe one of the head honchos of FWE released a youtube video giving all the step by step instructions on how to make almost any grouping of mods work. I recommend scanning some of the comments sections for the relevant mods and determining if anyone had particular problems with others. Such as the eve .96 working with FWE but not .97. Personally I just created a load order that's as stable as I've ever had it and I had to cut out EVE and WMK from the big 5(FWE-MMM-PB-WMK-EVE), because of stability issues. Building a load order is painful and is haphazardly successful at best, be patient, a weekend of work should be sufficient lol.

My load list is pretty similar to yours, so this should work for you.
Also, manual patch , though I've never really seen the need for it for most cases.

Fellout, Dynamic Weather, Enhanced Weather - Rain + Snow

These three all make changes to weather so don't expect them to be fully compatible. They probably won't crash your game but they'll overwrite each other at certain points and might even cancel each other out completely. I've read that Fellout and Dynamic Weather aren't compatible at least, I'm not sure about Enhanced Weather.
