I've heard you can get a house in the city of New Vegas. I'm trying to make it there but I don't know where it is. Is it part of the main quest line? I'm carrying around so much crap that I need a home to dump all my junk into. Fortunately I found Ed-E and he is helping carry stuff but I really need to find a permanent home.

At this point I'm so desperate I'm completely avoiding side quests until I find a home.

Get into vegas, you will be greted by victor and then will recieve your house

You can always stay in Novac until you get to New Vegas

Is there an actual home in novac or just places u can dump stuff?
if its the latter, can we have some more details on where etc?

You can get a motel room and stay there as long as you like. Before I had that, I also used an empty house in Goodsprings to store stuff--the one across from the front of the saloon, past the water tank on stilts.

Some people also use the dumpster beside the saloon, as it is conveniently close to the store, the workbench, and the Mojave Express mailbox.
