help with land tear issue near farygil inn

i cant seem to find the cause of the problem. i tried looking in tes4edit but i dont know the coordinates of the area. heres my mod list if anyone has had this issue before. thanks in advance.

Looks like some of your Unique Landscapes are out of date, don't know if that would cause a problem.

I'm not sure what caused the land tear. You can first check if all your UL mods are updated and if the land tear is still there try using http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30519 (just don't forget to uncheck all of the UL mods in the data files of the splash screen or in Wrye Bash before using land magic).

weird BOSS didnt say anything about updating UL mods. ill go check them out........thanks for the link to landmagic didnt hear about that one.

You can use a http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5703 to find the area in TES4Edit. The map has the block and subblock coordinates. Updating the ULs will probably help a bit though...more like a lot...

Use TDT, followed by SDT 33 (or was it 34?) to bring up the world co-ordinated as you walk around in-game.

If the land tear is at or very near the Faregyl Inn, your best bet is to update UL Ancient Redwoods. That's the closest one to that area. Outside of that none of them will impact it.

I don't see anything I recognize as making changes in that area so if you can't find it with tes4edit, try land magic - without unchecking anything. You don't want to uncheck stuff or it will produce a land patch that itself generates tears.

Its only until land magic creates the LandMagicPatch.esm so it dose not patch up the UL mods, then you can check back the UL mods. The reason was that in Ancient Yews there a river and most of the river was buried in 9 feet of land (if you want I could get a picture if you don't know what I mean or to understand better). Now I'm not sure that it affected the other ULs but its just to be safe and not have to worry about rebuilding the land magic patch.

The problem with that, though, is the the patch is going to be fixing tears based on a UL-less landscape. When it's plugged in to the game, the landscape's going to be different than the program thought it was. As Arthmoor said, this can lead to yet more tears, and the irony of a land patch that creates new land tears.

Thats odd because when I created the land patch without unchecking anything I had a river buried in Ancient Yews. I then unchecked Ancient Yews and rebuilt the patch and it was not buried and normal. I'm NOT saying that your lying and making up stuff, Its just weird that it happened and that I fixed it by unchecking Ancient Yews and had no problems.

You have to update to the latest version (0.3b I think) since that was actually a bug in landmagic. I already reported it and it got taken care of :)

still there. all new UL and patches, BOSS sorted and bash patched and land magickifyed. ill have to use the TDT commands and see if something pops up from another mod.

Version 0.3 should be it then. That one runs fine and blows through everything in the load order, including the UL patches it tripped over before.

i must not be getting this or something. i used the sdt thing and found it its in the wilderness 3, 0 cell. just west of faregyl which is in the 4,0 cell. i went into tesedit and checked under cells block 0 sublock 3 and 4 but didnt see any mention of great forest or faregyl in for that matter. since i wasnt sure which mods might be doing it i have them all checked. its only on specific cell cause no matter what direction i come from it changes immediatly to 0, 3 when i fall into it. am i reading the tes4 cell thing wrong or am i supposed to be looking under something else.

kind of funny how ive used tesedit extensively for changing mods but nothing outside. sort of how i have built over 20 computers but barely know how to use email. :)
