Help with new mount

Post » Thu Aug 01, 2013 1:38 pm

Greetings,

I'm working on a fun idea for a new rideable mount.

I have got the basics working; added saddlebone to the skeleton in nifskope, made race and actor, got the mod working in skyrim and I am able to summon my new mount.

Problem is when I ride it....

1: I'm hovering above the mount instead of sitting on it... is this something I can change in Creation Kit or do I need to edit the lenght/height or something of the saddlebone on the skeleton?

2: the head of my mount starts jerking around real fast when I mount it

3: if I press jump when sitting on mount, I stand up while riding and start walking in air above my mount...

anyone have any ideas how to solve these problems? :)

1: got a similar problem with a (smaller than horse) ride: i mount at horse height to the air, then drop down to ride's back. i guess a bit can be done with mount height (race), maybe that helps in your case. else, it pretty well might be stg about the saddle bone, happy about info on this myself...

2: mounting is quite a chain of single animations for every body part (see behaviour files), so i'd assume, it tries to make your creature perform an animation sequence it doesn't have.

3: cool effect. what is it, a flying threadmill...? :-))
