Hey everyone, I used to play Oblivion a lot, but haven't played it since Skyrim came out. I'm thinking about starting a new character now, but after years of Skyrim, I've forgotten the details of Oblivion's leveling and attributes etc. When I played Oblivion before, I basically spent time trying to do the most overpowered things, like using invisibility constantly or making an overpowered mage. But now I want to go back and do some of the things I haven't tried yet.
I'd like to make something similar to a Nightblade. I'm interested in these skills: blade, athletics, acrobatics, stealth, alteration, mysticism, destruction and restoration. Can't remember how to set up major and minor skills the right way though. I remember the leveling is weird and sometimes its better to put a skill as a minor one instead of major. And I also can't remember which skills level fast and which ones are slow.
I plan on doing the mages guild, and spell-crafting will be a big part of the character. I'd like to be able to use spells like spell absorption and silence and dispel and all these weird absorb/damage attribute and skill spells if I can get them to be effective. Basically I want to use all the weird spells and not elemental damage or summoning creatures. Also, are the alteration shield spells effective? I've never used them before. And if I'm in stealth, do all spells make a ton of noise? Is there a noise factor like in Skyrim?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I've forgotten so much, and planning a character is much harder in this game than in Skyrim!
