Help with power armor

Post » Thu Dec 10, 2015 8:16 pm

I'm currently level 24 about to be 25, I've gone to 5 power armor locations and 3/5 have been T-45, while 2 have been T-51, I'm missing a right leg for T-51 and then I have a full set, what's the best chances I have of obtaining this missing piece?

Level 53 and I still haven't found a helmet for my T-51... I have every other power armor piece in the game...

Well... I had them, I kind of got out of my power armor in a certain location, and then did a certain quest to make that certain location kind of explode... forgetting that my favorite armor was still inside...

So now I am off to find more pieces, because I sold my spares a long time ago...

Is there anywhere you can buy power armor pieces from?

You can buy T-60 pieces from Teagan. That's all I have ever seen.

In my experience the National Guard Training Yard would be your best bet, unless, of course, you have already been there. I often find a partial and a complete set of T-51 there, even at lower levels than what you state you are. You could also try the Atom Cats Garage, as they sell power armor parts. Best of luck in your search.

Yup, found another location with a full T-51 set, probably just gonna sell the 2 extra T-45 sets I have, and the extra T-51 pieces.

Is the T-51 better than the T-60? Except that it looks better imo. Or are you a collector? After a settler stole my T-45 I joined the BoS just to get a T-60. I don't use power armor much, so I don't know about the quality differences. I think I saw a complete T-51 parked in a small building near a fort on the beach but I did not care for it.

I am fairly certain that T-60 is statistically better than T-51. Accoding to the strategy guide the stats are as listed below.

  • Helm: T-51 DR 140 ER 90; T-60 DR 180 ER 120
  • Left Larm: T-51 DR 90 ER 60; T-60 DR 130 ER 85
  • Left Leg: T-51 DR 90 ER 60; T-60 DR 130 ER 85
  • Right Arm: T-51 DR 90 ER 60; T-60 DR 130 ER 85
  • Right Leg: T-51 DR 90 ER 60; T-60 DR 130 ER 85
  • Torso: T-51 DR 240 ER 160; T-60 DR 280 ER 185

Radiation resistance (which does not vary without material mods), value, and weight are irrelevant. Durability, however was not listed in the table, but T-60 is most likely more durable.

There are about 50 places with power armor in the game, and the Atom Cats selling parts as well (dunno if they sell T-51 tho) I found a full suit near Covenant hint:

Spoiler
it is standing at the bottom of the lake in the north end
Of course, it will depend on what level you entered the Covenant cell, so it might turn up as another T-45 instead.
