Just need help with some setting with crysis 2.

Ive downloaded the new DX11 patch and high-res textures. Taken a big FPS drop after this, but still holds up around 30-35fps insted of 50-60fps.

What are the best settings for my system? Should I also have v-sync enabled or disabled? (seemed to gain some FPS after disable)

My system specs

AMD X4 955 (3.5GHz OC)
EVGA GTX460 SC EE (850Mhz core , mem 1950)
XMS3 DDR3 4GB
1TB Spinpoint F1 or 3. cant remember)

Im only asking as ive just purchased a new 24" full HD monitor over my old 19".

If you are only getting 30-35 v-sync does not do anything but drop FPS. V-sync is only needed if your FPS is passed your monitors refresh rate. So if you have a 60hz monitor and you are getting above 60FPS you will want v-sync on. if not leave it off.

you want to maintain above 30FPS in any video game. But i dont think thats possible in this game (YET) because of the optimization issues it has still.

ah well thats fair enuff. I have read somewhere that trying to run this game at 1080p res doesent help.

I get the same FPS as you and ive got the same CPU, same RAM and 2x5770 so I play on extreme @1920x1080 and to be honest I cant really tell the difference between ultra and extreme (apart from the 25fps gain)
