Help with smithing.

Hey guys, i've been wondering, ever since the patch smithing has been hard as nuts to get up. Any tips?

Hunt all those deer, elk, and foxes that you see as your wandering around Skyrim. Collect their leather and make leather stuff. Also iron ore deposits are abundant so just carry a pickaxe with you at all times.

All those gems you 'acquire' throughout the game? Save them. Stick 'em in a gold or silver jewelry piece. As I recall, you gain xp based on the value of the item crafted, so make expensive jewelry. If you're going for enchanting too, you're making plenty of nice items to enchant as well. After all of your smithing and/or enchanting is done, sell the items for lots of money, buy/find more gems/gold/silver, rinse and repeat.

And, because of this. I would recommend you do the quest "No Stone Unturned". I promise you, you'll find flawless gems 99% of the time in chests, burial urns.
