The atmosphere. Morrowind hit the spot there.

I think some of us are just asking you to use the search feature next time. No harm meant.

Thank you for trolling my thread, it contributes so much to the discussion at hand.

FYI There are plenty of people legitimately contributing ideas and votes to this topic. No need to keep bringing stuff up that's not actually a response to the topic just because you think I should have searched for an old thread of a similar topic.

I was going to vote for architecture, but it's really the cookie cutter feel that Oblivion is full of. There are deceased elven ruins that replace the dwemer ruins that have their own feel as well. Actually, I missed the daedric ruins. You could tell you were near one because of the building design crumbled around a large radius of the entrance. I want the dungeon to feel like it's a part of the overworld. Instead of having a bunch of caves...why not have undead caves have dead grass or fog in an area around the entrance? I don't know...it's probably not the best idea but it's something that adds to the atmosphere.

The atmosphere. Morrowind hit the spot there. However, if they go back to Morrowind's combat system (no guarantee on hits) I will be mad.

Lol Skyrim would fail so hard if it went back to that combat system.

It won't though.... so don't ever mention that again. you might destabilize the universe thus actually making it happen.

i would like to have more stuff from oblivion then morrowind since it felt like a more dark fantasy to me

I can definitely see what you mean there, the Oblivion gates and the sort of "hell boiling over" experience was unique to Oblivion. It was a fresh experience compared to some of the more normal encounters in Morrowind.

Another thing I sort of missed from Morrowind is the number of topics each npc could respond to. That's the sort of thing that keeps me in towns. Oblivion's big step towards success is giving voice acted npcs a try. I'm excited to see the npcs in Skyrim. I come for the quests and I stay for the service.

Sorry. I just think Morrowind failed in a lot of aspects coming off of Daggerfall. Great game, but a step in the wrong direction. Oblivion restored a lot of things and got back on track. Skyrim is in good hands.

If you think something should be locked and posted elsewhere, don't post in it so it gets spammed up, just report it and let the moderator decide. And if you think someone is trolling your thread, don't confront them or call them a troll, that is flaming and rules specifically say don't call anyone a troll. Instead, again, report it and let the moderator handle it.

Now the thread is a spam bucket of off topic posts.
