The way the writer goes on go about limb dmg makes it sound like they might have changed limb effects a little and todd may have some anger problems.

We get it. Guns. Gore. Bones. When can we hear about choices and reactivity in the game world. I hate this hype blood bang boom period before release.

Nice. If anything else, the combat in this game is going to be fun.

One of my favorite quotes ever from random NPC's in fallout:
"My daddy was so mean, he once cut a mans legs off just to watch him crawl around for hours and hours. When he got Bored, he crushed his skull with a rock." -Random Slaver Girl at Paradise Falls.

Just to let you know, two elements of my recent predictions have just been confirmed in this article, as detailed on my Skills thread.

Yeah basically this which may or may not be similar to IMCN or PN style. And based on this:

"Appropriately for a new-gen game, post-apocalyptic Boston seems a far busier place than the DC or Vegas - shown best by how often you'll end up in the middle of a multi-faction firefight...."

It sounds like they may have added another popular mod spawning feature: Darkfirebird's Random Encounters from FONV here:

http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42793/?

This added random faction spawns for all the DLC and base game. Factions would fight each other an/or your PC's party if you engaged them. Or they were hostile to your karma etc. You could be minding your own business bantering with Williow, ED-E and Veronica out in the wasteland. Then suddenly find your party smack in the middle of a firefight between the Brotherhood and some rogue Enclave soldiers. Or a couple of Lobomites v. Ghosts etc etc. :D

I'm really glad Beth is paying attention to some of the best mods on Nexus and Steam :fallout:

From what the article says, Todd is pretty sadistic with his kills. I'm thinking of calling the trailer "Fifty Shades of Todd" when it's released to the public.

I can be pretty sadistic with my kills in Fallout... especially against raiders... if they start to run away and I have the means I tend to go overboard with a rocket launcher. No one runs from me....

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_random_encounters Darkfirebird's mod merely expanded on an existing feature.

Now you can make an extended, curved ripper and I can make a triple barreled missile launcher with a bayonet attached. :D The carnage.... the sweet... sweet. carnage.

All I need is a hockey mask and suitably terrifying attire and I can roleplay my very own crazed killer!

"Enemies can still survive nukes to the face if they're a high enough level."

[censored]. But while I was hoping that wouldn't be the case I didn't exactly expect Bethesda to revamp damage and health.

Mods will fix it.

Also, cut Bethesda some slack. The improvement in terms of game mechanics from F3 to F4 has been massive enough. I think with one more iteration (the next TES maybe?) they will finally understand that 'high level' shouldn't be a synonym of 'heatlh sponge'.
