Really, there should be no problem with the PC version of Crysis 2 outside of unoptimization (and really, that can be dealt with through brute force or tweaking INI files as in Crysis 1). Any weak textures will likely get fixed through texture replacement mods and effects are already guaranteed to be in.
The real mystery is the PS3 version as what you get, truly is what you get. And I believe that it is an unshowable mess right now. There is really no other reason for CryTek not to have at least DEMOED the PS3 version to the press. I can understand not releasing footage as its much easier to market when you get captures from only one version of a game. And I can understand not having a beta or a multiplayer demo for the public. But to not show it to the press, to show off how "multiplatform friendly" your engine is, causes a lot of worry.
But, hey, CryTek can prove me wrong. Id did at Quake Con when they showed off the PS3 version of Rage, and I had written that off as another crappy port. But CryTek had better do it quickly. Because the general attitude towards the PS3 version is that its crap. And it all has to do with the fact that it's a no show.
