Hey Crytek, Are you even going to respond to your customers?

Post » Fri Apr 17, 2009 5:13 pm

This whole section is filled with thread after thread full of issues and not one Crytek staff member has 5 minutes to go over what they are doing to fix the game?

A simple thread to put our minds at ease would be nice. I don't think that's too much to ask since you have countless PC fans sitting idle waiting for answers for a game that they have paid good money for. The game is fun when it works and that's all most of us want is a working game.

Cry-Adam? Cry-Tom? Cry-Anyone? Hello?

I'm a big Crytek hater atm, but Im guessing Crytek at this point is just investigating all of the issues being reported and after they do that they will respond. Give em a few days to get this mess sorted out.

Perhaps they're busy fixing the game? I dunno, that's my guess. If you need to be validated, call your mom.

Your retarded and you clearly havnt been on forums for other games/betas or game launches. A dev talking to their gamer community is practically more important than the game itself, go troll somewhere else please...oh and nice name drop " mom " Original

I'd rather have patch released 5 minutes later than it would have otherwise been and be given a bit of information from Crytek, rather than have no word on a patch or any comments on these issues at all.

Yep, I'm clearly retarded. That's my problem.

Perhaps it's just me, but I prefer the idea of developers being too busy fixing their game to lurk on forums.

You should check the replies in some threads and the stickie/notifications.

Replies are coming but it seems a lot of people choose not to read them and create new topics instead.

@Joker, Clearly your new to the gaming world too. It is quite common for Developers to not say much on launch day. Perhaps you need to be reminded of the pre-launch of Battlefield Bad Company 2 where EA turned off their forums when the multiplayer servers wouldn't come up on opening day and the login servers were screaming mercy? The forums were overwhelmed and both companies involved in the games development went silent.

What your expected to get: A Public Relations approved response to the issues, if and when they are ready to release it. Any comments outside of that are tidbits they can say without any legal headache.

Odds are they are probably in meetings and develop frenzy's.

sorry cry-tom, I think it's even easier when we gave answers with a front page news in than leaving everyone in the 10000 search topic, do not you think?
Yet the questions are simple:
or is DX11?
the problem of serial t will be resolved??
can see the very difference at all between the 3 graphics mode, why?
it's so hard to answer us clearly??

I agree with the fact that Crytek needs to make an all-encompassing response to the many issues. Considering so many people keep writing pretty decent lists of problems or concerns that large amounts of gamers agree with. I love the game and have a huge respect for Crytek, so I hope they make good and stop keeping us in the dark.

I'm still calling my mom for validation, though.

Well cry-tom, sent ya a PM yesterday have posted on a ton of threads, have one thread dedicated, have sent a second PM to another admin, have called EA twice now and still have yet to have someone on cryteks end help with the issue of not being able to log into the website, mainly because I am not getting back a reset password email from crytek. EA says they can't do anything about it since its a crytek issue.

Besides above steps to resolve this issue-
Tried every password I have ever used-
Tried resetting password - no email is sent, verified using this temp account that im posting with
Tried creating a new account with the normal email addy, said it was already used

Oh btw, just noticed was redirected from a thread that was locked in SUPPORT with a similar topic to now a PC discussion thread. Would make life easier if SUPPORT stayed in that section or have sub sections under each of the console sections for support for those specific consoles. Right now its a bit confusing where to go to actually get help.

Communication should be first on list for any customer support department. If customers know there is something being done they wont keep reposting the same issue. Having forums setup in a more organized fashion seperating SUPPORT versus discussion (graphics issues and graphics svck is two different sections- one is for support one is a discussion section) with stickes on updates on what has been resolved and what known issues there are would make it easier to find the answers people are looking for, responding to issues even if its to one of the many posts on the same topic shows the customers its being looked into.

Ignoring customers, locking threads because they are asking where the support is, not clearly posting answers, and players that have no constructive input do absuletely nothing to improve the situation that many are in.

Really the forums need to be restructured, seperate feedback and support. Feedback is for opinions, support is to get Help with real issues/bugs.

As it is people are posting all over with help questions and the few posts from admin are in various threads ALL over making it a nightmare im sure on both ends. Really discussion sections should only be moderated for abuse (flaming and such), Feedback should be looked at by devs with the occasional responce, and support looked at and replied to for just that SUPPORT.

Tom: It's difficult finding official replies in the messes that are the threads. You should heed my advice (before I went to bed) and create a sticky specifically for Dev Team updates about what you guys are doing to fix the problems, and in what order you guys are fixing the problems.

No one is whining, Customer service should be on top of crytek's list of things to do when they screw up their game this bad at launch. These issues are not OP gun's or people glitching these issues are straight from the Developer and are making it impossible to play the game for the majority of people. So they should have a statement released ASAP to ensure that they are looking after their customers.

You sound more like a teenager with your response. Because in the real world when someone releases a product that has defects in it. The customer service is KEY to insuring that your customers stay loyal and return for repeat business. To turn a blind eye on the issues that the consumers have will not help customer confidence.

A simple sticky up top to address the issues that have plagued this forum for the last day and a half is all it would take to satisfy almost all the customers that have concerns.

You should check the replies in some threads and the stickie/notifications.

Replies are coming but it seems a lot of people choose not to read them and create new topics instead.

Ok so why can't you sticky a thread up top with all the issues you have addressed so people don't have to go through thread after thread to find answers? That would make your life easier would it not? WIN WIN for everyone.

This is not reassuring I've read all the stickies, and they certainly do not even report on even an 1/100th of the issues with the game, and I have read most of the replies to the first topics of the issues (in which most were not actually replied on, unlike what you suggest) and these replies, again, mainly point back to the stickies and only report on a infinitesimal fraction of the issues.

Some of the biggest fans turn into the biggest haters after having their loyalty betrayed by crytek to server the lowest common denominator. How do you respond to that?
You don't, let the haters vent, lose a large portion of your existing fanbase, hope the new console fanboys will fill the void, count cash as you ride the hyped train into sellout-ville.

It only takes a single Sticky on a forum to Have SOMETHING to say. you could let you fans riot like animals, or at least make a simple note saying

" Sorry for the inconvenience. We are working diligently to fix these problems, Thank you for your patience
Crytek "

it doesn't take much effort to ease a persons mind when you can win over trust with the image of help during an SOS.

all im saying.....

I checked your posts and you do not address the **** PC graphics when compaired to the original Crysis and have not included information as to when or if a DX10/11 patch will be comming out.

Personally the game installed flawlessly and plays flawlessly minus a few flickering leaves on a wall that look like a malfunctioning holodeck image. My beef is with the graphics I need a 4th tier.

Maybe something like

High
Very High
Extreme
"You spent too much money on this PC" or
"Amazingly EPIC" or
"Frame Per Second Killer" or
"Unreasonable Frame Per Second killer as we see you can still play this game with maxxed settings at 500fps"

Or simply "Very Extreme"
How about "Superduper"
