Hey, what was that?

I'm hoping that in Skyrim we will be able to throw objects to distract enemies. There were hundreds of times in Oblivion where I could have used this. Imagine being in a dark cave, a goblin sees your shadow and comes to investigate. You find a dark corner and sit perfectly still. As he stands and looks around you should be able to throw an object to the other side of the dungeon/cave/room. He goes to check it out any you "finish him", Skyrim style.

Throwing random items was a good gameplay feature of Dark Messiah. It didn't have quite the same effect as what you're asking for though. The system you propose would be great for not only distractions by throwing things, but distractions by magical means, as they could both employ the same animation effects from the enemies.

This reminds me of Harry Potter fighting the Basilisk.

Or I could just shoot them with my bow from the get go. My Bosmer doesn't play with his food...

I guess it would be good when there are multiple enemies. Or it could be used for enemies you simply want to bypass.

deffinitly will help with stealth to have diversions such as rocks or goblets or generally anything you can grab and throw

I was mainly just kidding...mainly (Bosmer are cannibalistic).
Even if they don't implement throwing, I do hope we can at least distract them by shooting an arrow at objects to knock them over (which could distract the NPCs).

I always thought it was funny in Oblivion when I was sneaky enough, I could shoot an arrow into an orc's chest and he would just guess that "the wind must have blown that arrow into me."
