So my roommate and I were screwing around near the Waterfront today.

For whatever reason, she decided to look in the two barrels in front of the pirate ship. Somehow, and some way, she noticed something odd. The two barrels had three sets of contents.

We examined it more closely, and although there are in fact only two barrels standing next to each other, there does indeed seem to be three separate compartments, one of which contained a silver nugget. I checked all the sites we could find but found nothing about this interesting little tid-bit. Has anyone noticed this before, or does anyone know of any other chests like this that have two compartments inside of what appears to be one container?

Here's something else we just noticed. When doing http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Legacy_Lost, one of the brothers told us that Weatherleah was "South of Chorral but north of Fort Carmala."

It's actually considerably south of Fort Carmala though. You'd think the kid would be able to give better directions to his house.

Gonna have to check this out... the barrels I mean.

There are seven barrels in front of the Marie Elena. All of them are identical: BarrelClutterMiddleSame01. BarrelClutterMiddleSame01 draws from three leveled lists:

LL0LootCrateExtras15 (gold, lockpicks, silver items such as goblets and pitchers, crystal balls, pelts, etc).
LL0LootRepairHammer10, (repair hammers).
LL1ClutterNoValueSame75. (calipers, scythes, hourglasses, yarn, cloth, pants, etc)

BarrelClutterMiddleSame01 is found in 97 locations around Cyrodiil (a few examples: outside Weynon Priory, the Arcane University, the Kvatch Entrance gate, Drunken Dragon Inn, White Stallion Lodge, Roxey Inn, Inn of Ill Omen, inside Odiil Farm, Jesan sixtius' house in Anvil and Dar Jees' house in Leyawiin).

I know of no new content added specifically for the PS3 so I'd say you encountered a glitch.

Checked in the CS and one of them is duplicated so there are actually two identical barrels in the exact same spot.

Couldn't find the compartments... 360.

Walk up to the steps that lead to the pirate ship. On your left there are two barrels. The barrel farthest left of those two is the barrel in question. If you move your cursor very tiny amounts towards the top of this barrel, there's a small portion where you should be able to access a separate inventory for the contents of the barrel.
