If you do then simply follow these steps.

#1 When you get the quest Trouble at home front kill every body accept Amata and butch.

#2 After that pick pocket Amata and give her the vault 101 armored suit. (Get this by helping Morie in Megaton)

#6 Go on though the main story line till the very end.

#7 Save the game a load the moment you killed Amata

#8 Search Amata and you well find an note from her farther

Even with some clever modding I dont think it would be possible, which is a shame, Ive read about the early days of gaming where a lot of players either werent tech-literate enough to crack open the games programming or the tools didnt exist to do it in a very user-friendly and effective way. You ended up with some things laying undiscovered for a long time, and things becoming myth and legend among the playerbase. Someone on the TES neck of the forums unearthed a website from 90s that was about Daggerfall, and there were people posting on that site talking about their search for Dragon, going through the far reaches and glitchy areas of the Illiac Bay in search of it.

That was before my time, but nowadays with pretty much any game you can unearth everything easily with the proper tools. It would be great if there was something as of yet left undiscovered in Fallout 3, but sadly that will never happen, you can find everything there is in the game with the GECK.

If such a thing did exist it should be in the GECK. I don't have Fallout 3 installed.

Also not to mention some weird save game trickery, which I dont think would actually be possible without your game being haunted or something.

I do wish such things were true. Unfortunately not though as far I know.

This is possible, Took about 3 years to discover I am a programmer and I started studying the files of the game and this idea came to mind I tried it took about 120 hours but it was worth it You can try it. I tested it on both PC and Xbox idk about ps3

Seems legit... One issue though. How would your save from the future have the letter from the past save? They are independent files. Plus, why would Bethesda spend their time on some convoluted easter-egg that no one would find for 6 years? Further, as Styles said, if this were true, it would be in the GECK. They wouldn't hard code a silly easter-egg like this into the engine.

This is fake. Move along folks.

On a serious note: I'm truly honestly curious as to what drives people to make up [censored] like this?

Spreading misinformation is not what the forum is for.
