Steam has a tagging system for games. Is there any way to automatically hide games with certain specific tags from all recommendations, lists, and advertisemants?

Sorry, it looks like you misunderstood me. I'm not looking to hide anything from my library - instead, I would like to hide games with certain tags from:
-Recommendations
-Any shopping list or advertisemant
-Discovery queues.

Is there any way to give Steam a list of specific tags that I have no interest in?

I launch Steam every day and I didn't even know that these things existed. I only go on the library tab and the screenshots.

This function isn't implemented yet. As you can see http://store.steampowered.com/tag, this function's missing right now.

If you don't like to see a particular game, just click the "Not interested" button. It won't show up on your shop site anymore, still you can access it through search.

Games you aren't interested in don't affect other games shown on Steam.

You can customize the bottom part of your start site. Nevertheless, there are just categories for customization. You can decide if you want so see
