Hiding static objects and terrain in Creation Kit

Post » Fri Sep 20, 2013 2:00 am

Is there a way to hide static objects like buildings and rocks in the Creation Kit? What about terrain?

My goal is to render a "local map" of the entire game world except I don't want any buildings, rocks, terrain, etc. in it. I only want the trees to be visible. I will then manipulate the resulting images and use them in my map of Skyrim.

That looks like an ambitious project, does the select your object you want to hide and then press "1" twice do the trick ? Or it still renders in your map ?

Semi easy solution - hit the / key to bring up the Picking Preferences window. Select "Trees" under the Exclude list. Then select all objects in the render window by dragging across the entire area, then hit the 1 key twice. You can then hide all land by hitting Shift+L, then hide the water with Shift+W.
