High Hrothgar is a settlement high atop the highest peak in Skyrim, the Throat of the World. Sitting atop hundreds of massive stone steps, here dwell the ancient Greybeards who endeavor to become more attuned to the voice of the sky. The Nords believe that they were created by Kyne when the sky breathed onto the peak of the mountain, which is also known as Snow-Throat. It is possible that Hrothgar has a mystical connection with the vanished Falmer.
The highest peak in the province of Skyrim (roughly in the center of the province) and the highest in all of Tamriel, not counting Red Mountain, the Vvardenfell volcano in Morrowind. The legends of the Nords state that mankind was formed on the mountain when the sky breathed onto the land. The Song of Return tells of the Nords returning to their original homeland from Atmora, when Ysgramor settled in Skyrim. Many pilgrims travel to the mountain and climb the Seven Thousand Steps to High Hrothgar, where the most ancient and honored Greybeards live in absolute silence to become more attuned to the voice of the sky.
Maybe I spent too much time in the realm of the Madgod, or it's just sleep deprivation, but does this mean Man is the end result of Kynareth deep throating a mountain? I guess after Barenziah's intimate encounter with Khajiit anatomy, the Tribunal's kinky bedroom antics, and Alessia's relations with a bull, this is the logical next step........ :bolt:
