High KingQueen of Skyrim (Part 2)

Nope, you are still wrong. You made a blanket statement assuming something for everyone of those who don't support him, I am sure some think that way but not all. Thanks for playing though

It's a fact that the people who support the Empire and didn't see the duel think that he walked in and murdered the king. So try again.

If you want to continue the debate, message me it because this is thread hijacking, hence why I removed my previous post initially disagree-ing.

You can pm me, I don't care to convince you of what everyone else already knows. That's a staple in game imperial stance.

edit: I'll apologize for my tone, wasn't necessary.

You raise good points, but the Nord mindset is flexible. Taking prisoners is an accepted part of their culture, and Tullius would be a damn fine prisoner to take: he's a symbol of just how far the emperor's fallen, how their 'best general' failed to win a single engagement (other than that one at Darkwater no-one talks about), and how the man who was once the shining star of the Legion now relies on Ulfric's mercy to buy bread. Besides, even if it was wholly inconsistent with Nordic culture, I'm sure they appreciate the value of a little pragmatism from time to time: sparing Tullius' life and keeping him as a pet or returning him to Cyrodiil in disgrace would have much greater potential for benefit, politically, than killing him.

That's part of the point. The Imperials couldn't afford to do it with Ulfric, as they'd still have something to fear from his survival. Skyrim has nothing to fear from Tullius, and their nonchalance to his existence would set that in stone.

Killing him would show Ulfric is serious about fighting the Empire out of Skyrim and isn't playing around. What's it say if he lets a man that killed their people go or continue to live just to rub it in? That could hurt him as much as it could help. The Imperials would say it's proof of his vanity and arrogance, compared to just killing him like you're supposed to.

Saying Skyrim has nothing to fear from him when they still have men in Skyrim and can still cause trouble seems a bit too cocky to me. Tie up loose ends and nip it in the bud. Ulfric already gets points for letting Elisif and the other Jarls live.

By the time killing him becomes more an option than a dream, the Empire's out. A message like that is no longer necessary.

In my opinion it would be rubbing it in for the Imperials - this is the best man you could send, and he needs our permission to go outside.

I agree that the bloodier factions would cry out for vengeance, but by the same token the Nords who fought in the Legion (and there'll be a lot of them) would see it as a great step towards reconciliation and an assurance that they can live in peace with the Stormcloak government, and ultimately that's more in tune with the united Skyrim Ulfric promised to build. The likes of Galmar will bow to practicality. If they don't, they could always be sated with a cheap Thalmor witch-hunt. Ulfric controls Skyrim. The options are limitless.

Those men would start to leave as soon as their money doesn't come in, and they'd have to leave when a peace treaty is signed. Every day they remain on a campaign no-one's backing, they'll burn through scarce resources, and lives, and they're not getting replacements.

We'll just have to agree to disagree, but I think you're dreaming if you think the Nords of all people would be okay with Ulfric letting the man responsible for so many of their dead sons, brothers and fathers live. And daughters, sisters and mothers, for that matter.

Some men have to die, plain and simple.

I believe it was my mentioning of Elisif that did it. :P

She's cute though, really cute. I just want to be in a room alone with her in the Blue Palace, and listen to that gorgeous voice of hers...

1. Brunwulf aka Not-Balgruuf...Elisif isn't worthy to fart on the throne.

2. Vignar is boss

3. Hagrid because cats are pussies (pun intended) :P

Balgruuf and Ulfric ofr the first two segments of the poll.

As for the last segment of the poll, the bearded one... How Laila is in there is beyond me and, I cannot believe I am saying this as a cat-person on RL, you should be made rug at the front entrance of my door where everyone wipes their feet upon your peusdo-cat skin and stomp on your remnants as your user name should be trapped in a cage in Mehrunes Dagon's lava pit (raised down to suffer, yet raise up for a recuperation period *enough to breath in O2* and be down on the lava again, rinse/repeat)... Now I am going to hunt M'aiq and make sure his soul is the forever prey of the Hunting Grounds for my PCs... now do you wish you did not bring up Laila? Hmmm?

I'll just skip the debate this time and go with the Windhelm men for both Empire and Free Skyrim.

For the third option, I'm sure Hagrid would make an excellent High King. He would declare that men with beards are free from taxes, and he would prohibit the hunting and killing of giant spiders. He would also throw fabulous dinner parties with lots of sandwiches he's made himself.

Are you saying spiders are needed for growing his beard? I should... nevermind. If spiders in the beard is needed to grow that beauty, FORGET ABOUT IT! Damn it, for once I was once with the bearded when I voted for him.... I need to meditate further for option 3.

She's not great or anything, but I always wanted to be able to marry her just to make her dreams come true.

edit: And I get a spy in their court, hehe.

She's not exactly the sixiest woman alive, no, but with a wash, she'd look nice. I'm not as big on looks as most. It would make a good story for her to get with the dovahkiin.

Did you not notice that sixy redhead upstairs sitting on the throne? :P

Okay, okay.. I like Elisif, that much has become obvious. :D But I really don't remember much about Erdi other than the fact that she gives you the key to the Pelagius Wing.

She often rambles on about how she wishes some gallant hero will take her away to a life of adventure and romance. I'm a svcker for both cheesy and good romance stories.
