High level enemies able to "one-shot"

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 8:11 am

Don't know about you but I was blown away buy the E3 presentation but I did notice in the section with the deathclaw that it was able to grab the player and then what I assume use an execution move. while I like that idea I hope hi level baddies aren't able to instantly kill you and can only activate an execution when you have low HP. Opinions?

Probably Skyrim style "if the attack was going to kill you anyway". The only problem is that it locked you in, so yeah, while the attack was gonna kill you if it connected, had it not gone to kill move you might have dodged it.

Just another good reason to stay as far away from Deathclaws as far as I'm concerned. Not that there weren't enough reasons already...

I'm actually kind of glad to see enemies that pose a real threat. challenging combat isn't something we normally see in Bethesda games without jacking up the difficulty to make everything bullet sponges.

Just think of the first time you ran up to giants in Skyrim

I will miss boxing with deathclaws, was a fun skill in NV :P Personally I don't mind it as long as it's not as broekn as the dragons in skyrim, even with best armour and full health I could get OHK -.-

My thoughts entirely, I'd be pretty dubious going toe to toe with a 12ft+ monster with massive claws if it looked like it to play let alone when it clearly wants to kill you. I for one would welcome them all being stronger, and their actually being a penalty for dying.

Skyrim's system and it's implementation were friggin' awful. I really hope it's been changed from that.

I'm hoping the combat is more challanging.
