High resolution textures would be easy and great update

While DX11 will be a very welcomed update, somewhat higher res textures would be an excellent way to improve the visual fidelity of the Crysis2 experience in the meantime.

The Dragon Age II texture pack for PC has made the game look much better.
Crysis2 gamers on PC are dissapointed at the texture resolution when playing 1920x1080p or greater.

Thanks Crytek.

I find it amusing people keep quoting resolution with a p at the end. I don't know any PC game that renders using the interlace mode. Do you people just use it because you don't know what it means but sounds cool?

Exactly that.

Even if they just used 1080p it would be easier, 1080 obviously implies the width...

1080p on computers is purely a marketing term, it sounds cool to the ignorant and uneducated, when it's actually a step back in resolution from 1920x1200.

The companies win both ways, it's cheaper to make a 1080p panel, and markets better since it has "1080p Full HD" slapped all over the box.

But on topic, I do hope they release a texture pack, the textures are indeed disappointing.
