Higher Resolution Inventory Screen & Cannot Do "New

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 5:08 am

Hello, I'm new to the forums.

A couple of issues I'm having with the game - I read through the FAQ and did a topic search, but really didn't see a solution to either of these. I apologize if there has been a topic and I just didn't find it.

(1) I've noticed some screenshots on websites showing the Inventory Screen, which is displaying at least 20 items that are visible at the same time. Mine shows about 5 or 6. The resolution is higher on those screenshots, but shouldn't my Inventory Screen have changed with my graphics resolution? Obviously, either by a MOD, an in-game setting, or a tweak, this can be changed. How is it done?

(2) While my game Autosaves, and can Quicksave - I cannot do a "New Save". I click on "New Save" and the game behaves as if the action was performed - but no New Saves show in my list of saves.

Here is my config:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 6000
4 gigs RAM
NVidia 8800 with 1 Gig OBM
Samsung Syncmaster 2220 Digital

I am running the game at 1680 x 1050 Widescreen with all settings to max.

I'm by no means new to Oblivion and have been playing it off and on since it came out. This is my 3rd time through the game. Any help, tips or solutions would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

UPDATE:

Well, after some research, I found out that simply renaming your character with the 'Player.SetActorFullName' at the command prompt solved my 'No New Save Game' problem. This seems to occur if you ALT-TAB out of the game at some point.

Still want to find out about the Inventory Screen Resolution issue, though.

They are using a mod like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11280.
