Yea... the car is great. Lotsa work to get it. I think it can get stolen too, iirc.
Buy the game.

Even though it uses an ammo kind as fuel, by the time you get halfway through the game you'll be bathing in it. Also it has a very handy trunk. A container that travels with you!

Well, it can indeed be stolen once, but the theft is quest-related.

Buy the game!

The quests you have to finish to get the highwayman are great, the second one is one of my favourites.
Buy this game, and don't forget to patch it or you'll be traveling only with the trunk  :hehe:

You don't get the game for the highwayman which you'll use at the near-end of the game, and which its only use is very efficient traveling. Deciding whether to buy the game on how cool the highwayman is can be compared to deciding if you should buy mario kart depending on how many spokes his cart has.

I don't agree with that... The Highwayman if played through in the Intended order is about a third to half way through the first main quest
Spoiler

(Arroyo>>Klamanth>>Den>>Modoc>>Vault City>>Gecko>>Back to Den to pick up the car before heading to all points south)

The car has multiple benefits.
Spoiler
I
- While NPCs are good as mules, Transportable Storage space is a great benefit,
- When the car gets stolen, you can ask them to increase storage space
- Add a blower - I think you can get it at NCR headquarters from the junk dealer. Quicker to get around = nice
- There's a fuel module that can also be added to increase efficiency of power cells. (dont' remember where that is - towards the beginning of the game after killing the rat king

Hope this helps.
