I'm trying to complete the Met by Moonlight quest currently for an uncursed Hircine's Ring. He was also in his werewolf form when I entered the prison again. I'm not really sure what to do at this point; I really want that ring...

Also, if it makes any difference, I used a lightning spell to kill him while he was stuck in his cell. Is there a way to actually get in the cell? Maybe looting his body or something would register it.

edit: Does anyone know the id for Hircine's Ring to just get it through a console command?

edit 2: The quest definetly bugged out. Sinding didn't break out of jail, and he's stuck in his werewolf form in the cell.

You can choose to help him, and still get the ring.

I have a save file with him not dead in it, but he's in his werewolf form so I can't talk to him.

If I turn into a werewolf in front of my wife will she freak? I don't want a divorce...

Quick save and reload if she does.

I'm just going to use the console command to get the ring at this point, but I can't find its id in the TES wiki. Does anyone know it?

To get the uncursed ring, I had to keep sindig alive and then leave the grove. Hircine then showed up immediately upon exiting, I said I didn't kill Sinding, Hircine said it was cool since I killed the hunters, and the ring became the uncursed one.

Thanks, I'm going to try that once I get a chance to play. Hopefully it'll work.

After reading how the quest was supposed to work out in the wiki, I'm bumping this again because the quest did bug out. Sinding is stuck in his cell as a werewolf, and he hasn't appeared at the grotto. So... I'm not sure what to do at this point.
