On the 'Ill Met By Moonlight' quest, is there any way of getting BOTH the Ring of Hircine and the Hircine Armour thing/reward WITHOUT killing Sinding in the Bloated Mans Grotto?

I've tried killing Sinding back in the prison in Falkreath but you can't collect his skin off him from behind the bars to activate the Aspect of Hircine... what can I do?

Probably not unless you're on PC and with console commands /:

Nope, you spare him first to get the Ring of Hircine, then you go back in and skin him. With that you get the Savior's Hide.

There is no way to get both without killing him (Except on PC).

You help Sinding kill the hunters, go outside to talk to Hircine and get the ring. Then go back into the Grotto and kill Sinding, get skin, Hircine appears and gives you the armour.

So no, there is no other way that I'm aware of, except if you find Sinding out on the road at night as a werewolf - though this is really glitchy from what I read (he doesn't react to anything you do, etc).

If you're asking because you waited too long to kill Sinding and he's no longer there, well, then your outta luck as far as I know. New save. :b

You have to kill him if you want to get both.
