Hist: Nirn's biological mananauts?

Meridia’s holdings in Oblivion are collectively known as “The Colored Rooms”. Another Prince whose origins may not entirely be outside of the aetherial, Meridia has at several times been linked to Magnus the Sun. The most famous account of this association is the Tract of Merid-nunda, which overtly casts Meridia in the role of a wayward solar daughter, cast from the heavens for consorting with illicit spectra.

I assume illicit spectra are gamma, infrared, ultraviolet light. Nirn's humans can't perceive worlds beyond the Gray Maybe, into the negative space of these illicit spectra, but reptiles in our world have adapted infrared sight. I wonder if Hist, through evolving the Argonian physiology on Nirn, raised these humble reptiles because evolution had equipped them to sense illicit spectra. As the Dwemer are renowned for Kagrenac's Tonal Architecture, perhaps Hist have their mythopoeia; an "Optithaumaturge" among the Argonians, seeking Old Argonia ?

This inquiry actually brings me to the question of the Eye of Magnus. Might the Eye have been engineered by Aldmeri to launch the sunbirds of Alinor through negative space and wash in Meridian light? Initial questions in the color of magic.
