Hit detection after patch 1.4

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 10:52 am

I get the feeling, that with the new 1.4 patch the hit detection works much better, you really need less hits to kill an enemy. That's great (but now Crytek should turn up the players health a little bit for PC-players)! Has anyone else noticed this change or am I the only one?

I was only able to go on for a little while and damn I'm getting owned! Didn't know they did this and was wondering why I die so fast. I just can't take on two guys now though even if im on my top aim.

Yeah. I'm still wondering if they just made the hitboxes bigger, or really improved hit detection...kill-cam still svcks....

I definitely notice the point fire enhance working with my k-volt strafe around strategy. I guess combined with this it makes it even more lethal.

When I'm aiming down sight (which 90% of the time I do) I don't see a difference... BUT I've noticed that while I was just plain point and shooting my hammer, I've usually landed hits. I'm guessing they improved the aim spread when just point and shooting.

Other than that, I don't think it's hit registers really.

I don't know if it was just me but it actually seemed worse on my end. Now I live in the East Bay area of Cali so maybe it was just yesterday (some days out here I swear the whole network just seems bogged down and slow for no reason, anyone else in populated areas of cali ever feel this?) but the patch seemed to make things worse.
And it definitely hasn't stopped any hackers from getting on. They are still out in full force, so bad yesterday that it seemed like they all logged on just to prove a point that they still could lol. Maybe it was just the servers I play on though but it was bad.
