I've been very hesitant to comment on threads like this, as usually it's just whiny little kids complaining like they do. It happens for all shooters that get released. Trolls and children being little ****.
But...
This game actually does seem to have huge hit detection issues...
Between unloading a full clip into someone, spinning around bashing each other 5+ times, the list goes on.
It wouldn't be such an issue if it happened every now and then, but the problem is that it happens every single match.
Also, not sure what is comes under, but every time I try to assassinate someone with the holding of the right stick, when it actually comes up on screen prompting you to do such a thing, I will 90% of the time just bash the opponent rather than performing the assassinate animation. And they will 90% of the time turn around and shoot the **** out of me.
I really love this game, I really love the multiplayer... But it is truly disheartening to get a game that is supposed to be complete. It's supposed to work. But get a result that just seems a little unfinished. Maybe if they were given another month or two to fine tune it. Maybe if the beta lasted a bit longer... I don't know.
I don't think it's fair on the consumer to have to expect these problems and wait for a patch. I don't ever remember Game Cube games be so faulty to a point where you would have to wait for a patch. What about PS1 and PS2 games, we never got such game breaking issues where we had to wait for patches. Even the original Xbox, was Halo 1 or 2 so game breaking when you played it that you thought they needed a patch? No, not at all.
It's become too mainstream lately to expect horrible issues within the first month of the release of a game. It shouldn't be that way. We shouldn't be paying full price for a game which is ultimately unfinished. Once again, I hope this game is fixed soon, and I will still play it until such a time, but for me at least, it's tarnished the Crytek name. I now can't say that Crytek only make elite games.
Once again, I'm not saying Crysis 2 is a bad game, I'm saying it's a great game. I love it. But it honestly does just feel unfinished in some areas.
It's a beautiful game, and perhaps that's the reason the multiplayer doesn't do so well, I don't know.
Right now, I'm going to give Crytek the benefit of the doubt and hope they release some type of patch to alleviate some of the issues we ALL are having.
Yeah I know how you feel, I really enjoy the game. It really does frustrate me that when I try to melee someone they just blast me away by spraying like they have a tommy gun. On the other hand, someone else would run up to me and melee me twice with armor and I die but I wasted my entire extended mag feline clip and I lost. I mean, how many issues are there? I really hope they fix this game because it has a lot of potential.
