HMG-Needs Balancing-Down Bird-Assault

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 7:31 am

I was on a round earlier and two enemy players were capping A and they were camping with two HMG's. We thought this wasn't a problem but the next round they did it again.. Perhaps making the HMG-a full round weapon where it will not be usable after the previous round may need to be implemented down the road.

No? You have a cloak for a reason. I never really have a problem dealing with dudes holding an HMG. I usually just flank and stealth kill.

They had their back to the walls. And I'm talking about Assault.
You know, normal marines vs. Nano-suit enemies who can rip the HMG off the mount.

I was his team member on this map. We were non nanosuit defenders. And the nanosuit attackers were capturing terminal A, one in a room that had only 2 entrances both within the same field of view if you're next to the terminal. And they were camping in it with unmounted HMGs. Seeing as we had no stealth, no armor, no grenades, and especially no way to get an HMG ourselves; it was physically impossible to win the round.

besides assualt i think the hmg's need balancing anyway maybe to a 3 shot kill because some people sit there with amour on and as soon as some1 shoots they turn around then 1 bullet your dead and usually your better than the person with the hmg so it kinda unfair. or maybe a slower rate of fire

Don't know about that but the main complaint is the lack of solutions when it comes to the scenario that happened above :(

If your up for a round add me to your friends list.
I'm leaning more and more to crash site and Assault.
We'd be a team of 3

Check where the HMGs are in the level, easy kills. if you storm A from both entrances into A. job done.

It's so loud, obnoxious and cumbersome, that it's balanced.

Why not just remove them for assault matches, or make them only spawn on the defense (Marines) side?

I agree, it should be removed in Assault, but don't touch it otherwise...

I think the hit detection need fixing because combined with the HMG it's fricking annoying. It's so laughable that they spray and a bullet "happens" to hit me in the head.
