So I found this cave up north a bit west of Dawnstar with my explorer who uses whatever happens to be laying around. He is level 29 approaching 30 at the moment. The cave is full of necromancers which are fairlyi easy if you just rush them. The last one was very annoying to me he was a Master Necromancer who kept one shotting me with the AE ice spell. I have seen bow one shots fairly often but this is the first time a spell, particularly one from the weakest magic damage form to one shot me. Anyone else what to share a WTF moment they have run across?

When I was lower LVL I died a few times and don't know why. I was keeping an eye on my health bar so I could pop a pot, but then I just went down (Draugr Deathlords or Draugr Death Overlords or Dragon Priests - maybe all, but I can't remember which ones exactly ).

It is usually a Draugr Deathlord that one shot me with a bow; Falmer Gloomlurkers are good at that as well.

It wasn't arrows (I don't think - this was all melee range) - I'm pretty sure it was magic because I've had Ebony (Legendary) since like LVL 21 and then Daedric (Legendary) since like LVL 32-ish. By the time I started seeing Gloomlurkers+ I had Daedric (Legendary) with crazy Enchants on them.

I feel I have to add this, but unless you're a nord, frost certainly isn't weak.

A Master Necromancer isnt hitting you with ice spike either he/she is hitting you with ice spear which is the upgraded version of the spell and does much more damage to you

Yes that was what was one shotting me but he was still casting ice spikes as well.

Don't forget there is a Stone of Barenziah or an unusual gem stone in there...

Even as a Nord it's a PITA. ...when it slows your movement and then they hit you with the spike/spear one.
